Glowing with Prada: The Luxe Duo I Can’t Stop Using

If you are following me on Instagram (@april_waepril_beauty), then I am sure that you might have seen me swooning over some of the newest additions to my beauty regimen. But before moving on, let me tell you that Prada Beauty is having a moment, and I am here for it. Being someone who tries multiple makeup products in a week (something that comes as a perk of being a beauty influencer with, not to brag, 373K+ followers), it isn’t very easy to impress me. But talking about this Prada duo, I have to say that they are game changers!
So let me get it straight. The showstoppers of today’s blog are the Prada Light Glowing Highlighter Powder in the shade 01 Champagne and the Prada Light Glowing Lip Oil Stick in U016 Rose. I also got my hands on their Monochrome Hyper Matte Lipstick in B03 Mahogany recently, and I will get to that very soon. However, these products have helped to take my daily glam up a notch.

First Up: Prada Beauty Light Glowing Highlighter Powder (01 Champagne)
You all know that I am a fan of any product that can achieve a natural luminescent glow. Yet I don’t want it to look too fake, being excessively glittery or chalky. The Light Glowing Highlighter Powder by Prada hits exactly my sweet spot. The shade that I have been using is the 01 Champagne—and I am absolutely in love with it. It is warm, radiant, and subtle in the most elegant way.
Speaking of its texture, it’s neither rough and powdery nor too oily. It is fine and buttery smooth. The pigment? It’s enough for catching the light, giving a subtle glow without making it seem that you are trying too hard. My final verdict: it isn’t your regular highlighter. This feels like that luxurious glow that makes people think that your skin is just healthy and glowing.
Here’s a bonus! My secret of applying it, while it is a highlighter, I have been using it all over my face. Before you do a double take, no, you did not read it wrong. Just hear me out.
Once I have finished the base, I take a fluffy brush and lightly dust this highlighter all over my face. That does the trick. It gives me a luminous, soft-focus finish, and my skin appears comparatively more hydrated, youthful, and radiant. The highlighter won’t cling to dry spots or texture, thanks to its finely-milled formula. Secondly, it pairs really well with both cream and powder base products.
You are welcome to use it my way for a glowing and clean finish. But if you want, you can also use it the traditional way, by applying it to the high points: top of your cheekbones, bridge of your nose, cupid’s bow, and just a little brush on your brow bone. But still, don’t be too nervous to experiment. This product is much more versatile than you might think.

Let’s talk lips. I have become obsessed with lip care in the past few months, especially now that I have a product that hydrates my lips and leaves a gorgeous tint and juicy finish behind.
The Prada Light Glowing Lip Oil Stick in U016 Rose is not your usual lip oil. It comes in a solid stick that instantly melts onto your lips as you glide it through, leaving an intensely moisturizing and soft natural tint. The shade is exactly what I would want from my lipstick: it is sheer enough to wear every day and has enough pigment for enhancing the natural color of my lips. This product is a must-have in your bag; you can carry it along and apply it even without a mirror, making you feel polished instantly after application.
There is a magic here, however. Ever since I started using it, I have been waking up with noticeably softer and more hydrated lips. I can say that the overnight moisture retention is real. I have tried a lot many lip products that feel nice when you apply them first, and then end up leaving your lips dry just a couple of hours later. But not this one, it leaves a light pigment and keeps you looking stunning, coupled with lip care properties.
Pro tip: Often, I apply it as the final step, once I have done my lips, mostly when I am wearing matte formulas. I know that I started this blog post to rave about the glowing duo, but I have to give a shoutout to the Prada Monochrome Hyper Matte Lipstick in B03 Mahogany, as well. This shade has now become my go-to for any event or special occasion. It just has that extra glam that I would want to feel, any other day of the week.
The tint is a maroon-brown, and it has all you need for gorgeous lips, without overpowering. It is rich, deep, and bold. The shade complements my dark hair and instantly changes the whole vibe. The lipstick has a matte finish, but is surprisingly hydrating and luxurious. It doesn’t lie flat or get dry. The wear feels extremely lightweight, making it comfortable to wear for hours on the go, without feeling too cakey or heavy.
This is what I would want when I want to look powerful, elegant, and confident: a lip color that becomes a part of me, rather than making me feel the constant weight of what I am wearing. It is just worth the splurge if you, too, like me, love a luxury lipstick moment, and let’s be honest, who does not? The attention to detail put by Prada in their formulas and packaging makes the whole experience feel extraordinary.

In a word: yes.
We all know that luxury comes attached with a high price tag, and I am always honest with my followers when I think the price isn’t worth the hype. But, trust me on this, these Prada products are worth every penny that you spend. It isn’t simply because they are just beautiful to look at; they are certainly, but more than that, they are delivering on the promises.
The highlighter powder gives my skin a healthy-looking, even glow, which feels like it’s coming from within. With regular use, the oil has completely transformed my lip care game. And the matte lipstick, it can be called a power move in a tube.
